Auto Body shop SERVICES
BODY REPAIR
With over 22 years of expertise in auto body shop services & comprehensive panel repairs, our skill set offers a significant advantage to both you and insurers. This extensive experience enables us to proficiently repair and accurately straighten various vehicle components, ranging from wings and doors to roofs and rear quarters. Only in extreme cases would panel replacement be necessary. This expertise extends to motorbikes as well, ensuring a thorough understanding and adept handling of diverse repair needs.
STRIP AND FITTING
Preserving the integrity of your vehicle extends to meticulous care in handling wiring harnesses, seals, and other crucial components. Prioritising caution, we invest time in verifying items through auto data and online resources before disassembling anything uncertain. Given the vast array of parts across various makes and models, this approach ensures precision. In cases where disassembly is necessary, rest assured that your car is not treated as a storage space. Only small items, like bolts and electricals, are stored in the boot in sealed, labelled containers to uphold component safety outside the Bodyshop environment. Larger parts are securely stored away from the vehicle. Please note that, for safety reasons, motorbikes are not allowed in this section, as we specialise in automotive rather than bike mechanics.
SMART REPAIRS
Seeking more than just smart repairs? Our approach involves meticulously addressing small areas, akin to treating a brand-new car. We employ the same high-quality materials and processes but on a smaller scale. While driveway repairs are common, they often lack durability and warranty. Our small repairs, however, come with comprehensive warranties spanning years, complete with agreed-upon terms and provided certificates if necessary. From corner bumpers to arch repairs, expect excellence in under 4 hours with our dedicated and guaranteed service.
PLASTIC WELDING
Our plastic welding approach is comprehensive, utilising epoxy glues, resins, and thorough penetrative welding with stainless gauze. This ensures retained strength and flexibility. We stand by the quality of these repairs with a warranty, and in rare cases of failure, a full refund is offered, provided the customer agrees to replace the parts at their cost. Genuine circumstances with no other evident damage to the part will only require payment for parts, materials, and a heavily discounted labour cost. Software updates, like ADAS calibration, are chargeable and involve an approved engineer. For motorbikes, the same quality standards apply to this section, with detailed discussions available in person if needed.
ACCIDENT REPAIRS
The majority of damages we encounter result from accidents, but we assure you that we can restore your vehicle to its original condition with confidence. Our goal is to simplify this process and minimise stress by directly engaging with you and the third-party insurance engineers or fee payer. We prioritise the use of genuine parts unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon with you, our valued customer. As part of our extensive customer care, we go above and beyond by providing next-panel blending, even when insurers may decline coverage. Rest assured, we offer this service free of charge, showcasing our commitment to you and proudly reflecting our strong work ethics. Please note that this section does not accommodate bikes.
RECOVERY
While we understand the importance of recovery services, we prioritise delivering optimal results for you and your vehicle. Consequently, we’ve opted not to invest in recovery trucks to avoid distractions and prevent an overburden of work, which could include unroadworthy cars. This decision aims to maintain our commitment to efficiency and ensure prompt service. Unlike larger approved body shops experiencing work backlogs spanning months, we strive to offer timely assistance without extended waiting periods. Recovery services can still be arranged at your preferred time and location to accommodate your needs effectively.
RESPRAYS
Restoring vehicles to a condition often surpassing factory standards is a speciality for us, especially for cars no less than 5 years old. This service addresses issues like vandalism, industrial fallout, small rusty particles in the paint, or clear coat delamination common in some new cars. Unfortunately, we don’t undertake colour changes or restoration of heavily rusted vehicles due to the challenges in fully warranting such work. Upholding our reputation is paramount, even if it means foregoing certain costs and fees. Typically, this type of work is covered by insurance, offering a reliable solution. This section is inclusive of motorbikes.
ALLOY WHEEL REPAIRS
Alloy wheel repairs, while not our preferred aspect of the process, are undertaken in specific cases. These include instances where insurance instructions mandate it as part of the overall repair process or when addressing minor damages while the car undergoes other repairs. Please note that we don’t refurbish alloy wheels in sets. If extensive alloy wheel repair is needed, we have a trusted partner company for this purpose, and we are happy to provide their details and recommend their services.
4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Introducing our latest addition to our auto body shop services: the cutting-edge 4-wheel alignment system, the V1200 from John Bean Snap-On. It’s insurance-approved, and this state-of-the-art equipment, costing just under £20,000, stands as the pinnacle in wheel alignment systems, aligning with the high standards of all our equipment. Boasting intuitive technology, its wireless alignment sensors identify minute corrections or worn/damaged parts, requiring attention or replacement.
For a fee starting from £100 +vat for the first hour, this service covers all adjustments, including testing. This duration is typically sufficient for aligning most modern cars, but additional charges may apply for older seized bolts—an aspect always discussed beforehand to ensure informed decisions. We provide comprehensive before and after printouts, and your service book is duly stamped.
Please note that viewing this service is not allowed, as the equipment is situated in the active side of our workshop.
INDUSTRIAL PAINT
Certainly, we offer painting services for specific areas, taking into account product weight and size limitations. Unfortunately, heavy underwater epoxy paints and cellulose/synthetics are unsuitable due to contamination concerns in our environment. However, we gladly utilise 2K heavy solids of an industrial nature, which can be more cost-effective and less glossy than traditional car paints. Our process involves applying etch primers and epoxy 2K coats to ensure a durable finish. Rest assured, when we paint your industrial fittings, they will be treated with care, resulting in a high-quality and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
